Join us for an empowering conversation on redesigning your life with passion and purpose.
We invite you to rethink how you approach life's changes and view transitions
as opportunities to explore rather than challenges to overcome. Expert life
coach and Aggie alumna, Laura Francis, will introduce strategies for rewiring
your thoughts and breaking old patterns. Discover actionable goals so you can
build a roadmap to a renewed sense of purpose and direction. Get ready to
relaunch with clarity and confidence.
[Video Description: The video opens with a title screen for Women
& Philanthropy, with their accompanying logo, and bright, cheery bossa nova
music. Informational slides follow in the same style, introducing the
organization’s vision, celebrations and contact information. Background music
promptly ends once the speakers appear onscreen, and all speakers are clearly
audible.
We are introduced to Sallie-Grace Tate, the
executive director for Women & Philanthropy at UC Davis in a home office
setting. She introduces Laura Francis, Career Strategist and Life Design Coach,
who will be interviewed by Hala Kurdi Cozadd. Sallie-Grace’s video is replaced
by an informational slide on Laura, with her name, title and picture. This slide
is removed when the interview begins, with Hala on the left and Laura on the
right appearing side-by-side against individual home backgrounds. Each speaker
is shown in a medium close-up, speaking directly to the camera in a
conversational and professional manner.
As the video progresses, Hala and Laura discuss Laura’s childhood, career path
and what life coaching entails. Halfway through, Sallie-Grace reappears to ask
additional questions about books on coaching, accessibility, finding one’s
voice and future goals. Hala and Sallie-Grace then appear above Laura in a
split-screen format.
The setting remains otherwise consistent with no further on-screen text or
graphics present.
Toward the end of the video, Hala leaves the screen and offers her thanks,
followed by Sallie-Grace asking final questions of Laura. Sallie-Grace then
thanks both Hala and Laura, who reappear together in a three-panel split-screen
format. Sallie-Grace concludes with remarks promoting Women &
Philanthropy’s mission, details on the next virtual speaker series that winter
and the third Wisdom of Women Symposium on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at the
Mondavi Performing Arts Center. The tone remains warm, inspiring and
community-focused, emphasizing empowerment through philanthropy and shared
purpose.]
